==Message from Project Leader, Larry Conklin: OWASP Code Review Guide==
Unfortunately, we were not able to raise enough funds to facilitate remote participation for the 2013 Project Summit. It is certainly an aspect of our summits that we find incredibly important, and we will work hard to make sure remote participation is an option our contributors have in 2014.

Eoin and I had the great pleasure to present the Code Review Guide 2.0 project at APPSECUSA2013.  I want to thank everyone involved in the project and to give you my personal thank you. It was very much an honor to talk about our success and hard work. We are not done but I feel we surprised a lot of people with how much work a few dedicated volunteers have done.

I recently had to create a hardcopy document for a project. I wrote up the process in case it is useful for anyone else:

Please don't loose sight of the end but we are getting closer. Below is our wiki pages loaded into a word doc. Yes, it is rough, but we made sure everyone knew it was an early release document. Also my ppt is included attached.

Once the source file is created, it needs someone with the Lulu credentials to upload it and finalise the document. But there are constraints, and there is quite a large amount of meta data needed. If

My team is glad to present to you the Bywaf framework.  ByWaf is not just a small tool or plugin or script, but a new way to integrate, create and improve more tools all in a single user-friendly, command-line environment.

This framework may look like metasploit at first sight but is not, this is different in the following aspects:
+
If you want to help, go watch and "Like" the ones you prefer, share them
 +
and subscribe to the channel.

It is friendly with the end-user; it is made thinking that not all the end-users are experts in developing, scripting, etc. You can use “TAB” in every place into the framework, you just need to use your common sense.
+
Thanks,

ByWaf allows you to share information between plugins, so you can use a plugin to enumerate all the input fields, then the results are stored in a data base you can use another plugin that injects java script into those fields, with this you don’t need to export or save or edit all the information ByWaf will do it for you.

  • Project Leader Workshop Overview
    • The project leader workshop went very well during AppSec USA.
    • There was lots of discussion brought on by the project leaders.
    • There were a few potential project leaders as well.
    • The forum went well with a presentation of information followed by discussion.
    • It was also important to allow Leaders to interrupt the talk to ask questions.
    • I felt the way it was organized should be used as a framework for future project leader workshops.
    • 45 minutes was not enough time as well.
    • I suggest leaving 1 hour and 30 minutes for the session.
  • 2013 Project Summit Overview
    • I believe the project summit was a great success.
    • I was a bit nervous about it as I had never even done one before.
    • However, a good amount of Leaders helped put this together, and it is thanks to them that this summit was such a great success.
    • There were many lessons learned, and I am working towards putting together a post summit document for the community.
  • 2014 Project Summit
    • Plans are well on their way for the 2014 Project Summit.
    • Stay tuned for more news on this in the coming weeks.
  • Women in AppSec: AppSec USA 2013 Overview
    • I think the Women in AppSec program went very well at AppSec USA.
    • Both winners let me know that they really enjoyed their time at the conference, and they were glad to participate in the panel.
    • Kait, our Grants and Fundraising intern, kindly helped me manage the Women in AppSec schedules and timetables at the conference.
    • We are now working on post event administration for the program.
  • OWASP Marketing
    • I am glad to say that the marketing materials have now all been delivered.
    • Patrick is in the process of delivering the final invoice for work completed.
  • Project Guidelines and Policies
    • There was a good amount of discussion regarding the project guidelines during the conference and at the board meeting.
    • There were a few changes to make, and I completed them this morning.
    • I have just submitted the documents for approval this afternoon.
    • Documents submitted: Grant Fund Spending Guidelines, Project Spending Policy, Project Sponsorship Guidelines.
  • Daily Project based queries and requests
    • This has not changed much since I began the post: questions are very similar in nature.

    • Funding queries.
    • Travel availability.
    • Project based administrative help.
    • Project status information.
    • Several project donation questions.
