Ye Thura Thet is an information security specialist with over 10 years of industry experience.

Ye started his career as programmer in the late 90s. He studied Bachelor of Information Technology, majoring in Software Engineering, at the Queensland University of Technology from 2000 to 2003. He spent over 5 years as software engineer in different industries such as independent software vendor, facility management and healthcare.

From 2009 to 2011, he continued his further studies in Master of Science, majoring in Information Studies, at Nanyang Technological University.

For past 6 years he worked in one of the top tier international financial institution as information security specialist. He led a team of application security specialist to analyze security flaws in high risk web and mobile applications.

He recently setup up a cybersecurity consulting firm in Yangon, Myanmar to provide cybersecurity services to the organization operating in Myanmar and in the region.

He specializes in risk analysis, threat modelling, source code review, vulnerability assessment and penetration testing. During in spare times, he likes to do coding. He like to build and break computer programs.

In addition to format education, Ye is accredited with various information security credentials such as CISSP, CISA, CRISC, GPEN and etc.
