User:Tim Holman
Tim is one of the UK's best known specialists in data protection and payment card security.
He co-founded Blackfoot in 2009, to offer a realistic and honest approach to client's PCI DSS compliance projects following over 15 years working in end-user, reseller, integrator, vendor and consultancy roles.
Tim is a strong supporter of the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard, when understood and implemented properly, and a anti-advocate of those that steer the standard toward their own commercial advantage, or implement it in such a way that does little to mitigate the risk of card data loss.
He is always willing to help - Tim's out of hours career has included extensive community involvement with Microsoft as part of the MVP program for Windows Security, a leading contributor to Experts-Exchange and he now heads up the Information Systems Security Association (ISSA) UK Chapter as President.
The ISSA-UK have boarded over 1,700 members since launch in 2003, run around 16 events annually and has a strong Advisory Board that helps bring private industry, public and government bodies closer together.
He lives in Surrey with his family and has a pet Harley Davidson and some other toys that help make the real world go away.
Tim regularly offers media comment and blogs at www.securitim.com.
