Tara Williams Writer, Public Relations Professional Sponsorship and Marketing Manager, OWASP Brooklyn
Tara Williams brings her editorial experience, knowledge of HTML, CSS and jQuery front-end web development languages, as well as her user experience (UX) education to her volunteer role as Sponsorship and Marketing Manager with OWASP Brooklyn.
As a public relations professional representing financial services firms, Williams secured interviews with The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Barrons.com and Bloomberg Television for clients.
She also interviewed authors Judy Blume, Jonathan Alter and Grammy Award-winning bassist Christian McBride as a contributing writer with Baristanet.
In 2017, Williams was nominated for a Global WASPY Award in the “Best Community Supporter” category.
In addition to her affiliation with OWASP Brooklyn, Williams is a member of The International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS). A non-profit organization, the IADAS drives the creative, technical and professional progress of the internet and evolving forms of interactive media.
Tara Williams received a B.A. in Print Journalism from New York University. She also studied user experience (UX) design at General Assembly in New York City.
