I started playing with GW-BASIC in 1991. I wrote my first serious program in 1997 using Turbo Pascal (relational database on simple files). I wrote my first web application using ASP in 2000, as a homework (e-commerce). I am Professional software developer since 2002. I started working on medical software projects including systems integration solutions, and medical data communication and representation in Visual C++/MFC. Since 2004, I work on web services and applications development using classic JEE stack, including restfull and restless service frameworks, asynchronous processing management frameworks, flexible front-end frameworks, SQL databases, NoSQL solutions and caches. I am a member of Java Hellenic User Group since 2007. I'm interested in all layers of Java ecosystem, and in programming languages running on the JVM like Groovy and Scala. Along with JVM languages I like learning new programming languages and studying the classic scripting languages Perl, Python, Javascript for web development.
