Zachary L. Moody, CISSP is a security engineer with Palmetto Technology Group. Over the past several years his focus has become immersed in cybersecurity, primarily focusing in organizational security with intrusion detection, incident handling and response. Currently, the company has him developing policies in risk management, compliance, and disaster recovery.

Mr. Moody is currently working towards his MS in Information Security Management at the University of Fairfax, and holds a BS in Business Administration from The Citadel. He has a graduate certificate for Cybersecurity Best Practices and recently obtained the CISSP certification. He also holds both the Security + and Network + certifications from CompTIA and is a Microsoft MCSA for Office 365 Administration.

With an active security clearance, Mr. Moody has worked in numerous capacities in the public, private and government sector environments. His positions ranged from network engineer to section leader. He is currently a Staff Sergeant promotable, serving as a Pathfinder of a Light Infantry Company in the SC Army National Guard. Most recently, he served in the Middle East in support of the war in Afghanistan and has also served a combat tour in Iraq.

He is married 5 years to his beautiful wife Kristy, RN and have their first baby boy due in February. They reside in Simpsonville, SC where they are both actively involved in their church and community support.
