I became interested in computers in 1988. I found the PC to be a fascinating technological development and started learning as much as I could in my spare time. I eventually started a company that specialized in saving businesses Yellow Pages™ advertising costs by maximizing their investments utilizing the latest customer research into how people use the Yellow Pages™. I created a website for my business and, as a result, received requests from my clients to create websites for them. My business quickly evolved into website design as its primary service. As my skills developed I began hosting the websites that I designed and became a reseller of web hosting services in addition to the other services offered by my company. My interest in security was a gradual process resulting from personal experiences suffered as a result of my ignorance of proper security measures and procedures for a business. I decided to enroll in online courses and obtain a degree in order to broaden my knowledge of security issues as they relate to services that my business provided. I stopped taking new clients and devoted my time to education. While taking the necessary courses I decided to change the focus of my company and start consulting businesses on the security aspects of their business and finding and eliminating vulnerabilities.
