Owen has been attending and involved in the Charlotte OWASP for around 10 years. In 2018 he officially became a member and took a leadership role with the Charlotte local chapter. Other than the obvious security interests he dabbles with VoIP and has presented his work at multiple conferences including Defcon, DerbyCon and CarolinaCon.
