Michael A. Petosa Vice President of Information Technology American National Standards Institute (ANSI)

Michael A. Petosa is vice president of information technology at the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). Mr. Petosa has overall responsibility for developing and maintaining the IT strategy and vision, organization, processes, infrastructure, human capital, and services to support the Institute's business and operational goals. He is responsible for leading ANSI's information technology department, which supports over 15,000 member contacts world wide, and over two hundred servers, telecommunication systems, network devices and business applications.

Mr. Petosa joined ANSI in 2004 as director of information technology, bringing with him twenty three years of experience in system design, engineering, and business management, and in 2008 he was named vice president of information technology. Prior to his arrival at ANSI, Michael was chief technical officer at Pencom Systems, Inc, and director of management information systems at Career Blazers. Early in his career, he was an electrical engineer at Bell laboratories, systems engineer at AT&T Information Systems, and a senior partner and vice president of a privately held wholesale distribution firm in New York City. He is an active member of the The Information Technology Strategy Implementation Group (ITSIG), an advisory group to the ISO council, and a track presenter at the Council of Engineering and Scientific Society Executives (CESSE).

Petosa holds a bachelor of science and a Master’s degree in electrical engineering from Polytechnic Institute of New York
