I am an IT Security Administrator who has been working for the National Treasury Management Agency of Ireland since October 2014 where as an elite team I am entrusted to ensure the IT Security of a the National Treasury of Ireland. This embodies a wide arrangement of I.T Security needs for over 800+ employees as well as weekly projects, upgrades, testing & IT Security related tasks.

From September 1999 until June 2014 I was a highly active Irish Law Enforcement Officer (An Garda Siochana) with more than 15+ years of experience, which I spent mainly in detective units and investigative crime in one of Ireland’s busiest stations. I also hold an honour’s degree in Software Engineering from Waterford Institute of Technology in Ireland and in September of 2014 I completing a M.Sc. in Computer Forensics & Cybercrime from University College Dublin which I have received a 1.1 honour’s level qualification coming in the top 10% of my international class.

As my role of IT Security Administrator I have extensive experience in Email security systems, Endpoint Protection, Environmental Monitoring solutions, Encrypted private cloud sharing solutions, E-Discovery, CCTV configuration, Web monitoring and Filtering, Wi-Fi enterprise-class management systems, SIEM configuration and monitoring, BYOD security software configuration and monitoring. I am an extremely good people person which excellent communications skills and a great ability to motivate a team and inspire good working practices. I am able to disseminate technical issues down to a generic understandable level as I have done for over two decades with my teaching of all age groups with the CoderDojo initiative as well as teaching in the United Arab Emirates.

I have extensive experience in detective work specifically based around law enforcement Incident rooms dealing with headline crime such as murders, tiger kidnappings, robberies etc. I am therefore well versed in dealing with incident response & analysis and detection of situational problems. I am also a qualified mobile phone forensic expert and I have experience in Encase as well as other Forensic tool kits. I also have extensive knowledge in client and server building & repair via my experience in owning and running two I.T Consultancy businesses over the last ten years.
