Manuel Lopez is an Audit and InfoSec professional with 10+ years of experience mainly on the financial industry within highly competitive and diversified international teams.

With a Bachelor degree in Computer Science at Universidad La Salle, Manuel continued his education by achieving recognized international certifications like CISA, CISSP, CISM and CEH. In addition, management and business skills have been developed by achieving the PMP certification in conjunction with a Master in Finance from ITESM Campus Santa Fe.

His main expertise and back ground has been developed on the IT Audit and IT Compliance fields, by defining strategies to assure compliance of the IT processes to be aligned with Corporate Policies, International Frameworks and local regulations. He has been a contributor by leading ISO 27001 certifications, SAS70 and PCI audits on major datacenters.

Manuel is keen on building a strong group of InfoSec professionals in the city via the OWASP Guadalajara Chapter to enhance the control environment of private, public and government organizations in the area as well as to exchange knowledge and best practices among the team in order to share these experiences with the Universities to mentor and teach students willing to get involved in the amazing and challenging world of Information Security.
