In 1981 I spoke of a system that would allow automobiles to operate autonomously on highways with the user of satellite communications, proximity sensors, and vehicle to vehicle communications. These same vehicles would operate efficiently based on regenerative breaking to reclaim energy. Automation has reached a level to make this possible. It's really happening!!
