Undergrad degree from CalTech. Programmed in number of languages to pay way through college, med school. Specialty training in psychiatry, also teach meditation and martial arts. Co-authored book on meditation (Real Meditation in Minutes a Day, Wisdom Publications 2008). Recently started learning web application programming to explore ways of creating apps that can be used therapeutically.

Have always been interested in security (not just computer security) because so many security issues involve human perception, processing, and decision making. As I learned more about web apps and saw the push to put increasing amounts of personal medical information online, I have become quite concerned about the security of that information.

I am interested in learning enough to be able to contribute to what I see is an increasingly important field of knowledge.
