I am a computer systems graduate from the University of Limerick (Ireland) achived in 1990. I had a brief flirtation with C development as my career took off, but ultimately I worked as a developer using COBOL (VMS and Unix) from 1991 to 2006, with the exception of two years as a tester. I returned to testing in 2006 and am still there at the time of joining.

My past employers include Core Software (then Core Computer Consultants), Mysis (then Kindle Banking), the Voluntary Health Insurance Board, and Irish Medical Systems. At the time of joining I am employed by Sogeti Ireland.

I have a personal passion for .NET development and have an elaborate bus ticketing system nearing completion having been under construction for many years. It uses Managed C++ and C#.
