Scholar with a deep interest in Cyber Security / Information Security.

He received his Diploma in Information Technology from the Kenya School of Professional Studies. Prior to enrolling in the BSc IT program in May of 2011, Dola spent six years developing his career in the IT industry. He has been in numerous roles. However, three roles that have remained constant in all his positions are leader, motivator, and facilitator of change. Dola’s dynamic personality, intuitive communication skills, and a creative intellect have enabled him to successfully assist in the restructure of the Information Technology Department at KCA.

His roots began in the days of the “Longhorn” and has worked on leading edge technologies through the years and has seen the progression of PC and Server processing and networking. He has experience in PC troubleshooting, Server Administration deployments coordination and implementation.

Presently he is working as a Computer Support Technician at the Kisumu Polytechnic. He was briefly at the Kisumu East District Hospital and the Kisumu International Airport where he spent several professionally rewarding months. He was part of integral teams deployed at both institutions which played a key role in the automation and upgrade of services, developing them into efficient and effective profit centers.

Dola is an avid traveler and hopes to combine his passion for travel with his technical and cross-cultural skills in his career after graduating.

A Kenya citizen, Dola is a resident of Kisumu. In addition to English he speaks Swahili and some basic Spanish. He loves all sporting and outdoor events, and enjoys listening to music. He can be contacted at [email protected].
