Mr. Gooden is an information technology professional with a broad background in the computer industry and telecommunications fields. He has held positions in computers and telecommunications operations, with over fifteen years of industry experience. Donald is a New York City Chapter Leader for the OWASP Foundation (Open Web Application Security Project, (website: www.owasp.org), a former member of Infragard (2006-2011) where he served as a regular member in several south eastern US cities, and continues to regularly attend open meetings in the New York City area.
Donald has held positions with the United States Air Force, Fleet Bank, First Union National Bank, National Business Group, Mission Critical Systems, Pomeroy IT Solutions, UsLec, Covista Communications, Verizon, and ACS. He spent a combined time of over four years working with Value added resellers as a Senior Security Consultant for Fortune 500, mid-sized and small companies, as well as government clients in the United States. While working for Mission Critical, Donald was responsible for manning the support line for the SOC along with working on the RSA 6.0 Beta testing team, and assisted with PKI installations at several major accounts, as well as incidence response for security breached systems. Working for National Business Group Donald also served in an incidence response role for downed networks and virus attacks. He was an instructor teaching the Nokia Security Administrator NSA I, II and Horizon Manager classes, as well as a first and second chair instructor for their Check Point firewall classes. He researched and compiled technical evaluations, security policy and procedure development, security architecture planning, change management, audit programs, firewall installation, and configuration management.
Mr. Gooden has worked in multiple NOC Centers as a NOC Technician troubleshooting local and long distance calling and VoIP issues. He has also held positions as help desk, field technician, systems administrator, customer service instructor, technical analyst, pre-sales, and customer service. Mr. Gooden has also been published online.
