I have been involved in networking and network security since 1995 although my computer related experience dates back to pre internet (as we know it today) 1976 at Indiana University. I retired from my first career in Mental Health Counseling after 15 years in 1995.

I am an active member of the following professional associations; ISO, IEEE, ISACA, and ISOC and am a founding and past Board Member of the Northeast Indiana Chapter of ISSA (Information Systems Security Association). 

I enjoy teaching, writing, and pursuing security research.

Specialties: Financial (Banking, SOX and FFIEC) and Healthcare (HIPAA) auditing, IT Risk Assessments, and Network, Linux and Windows OS Security.
