OWASP Project of the Month

Reversepm.jpg

  • Graphic Designer Update
    • We have now brought on our New Graphic Designer.
    • I spent the majority of the week introducing Hugo to our operations workflows.
    • I also spent a few hours on-boarding him and setting up his account details.
    • I think we are all set up now, and we are ready to start taking on requests.
    • The only thing left is the finalization of our design menu of services
  • 2014 Project Summit
    • I have a few more summit session ideas floating around on different mailing lists.
    • I am excited to see that so many people are interested in these working sessions.
    • I am glad that the 2013 summit sparked something in the community, and that they found these in-person session so valuable.
    • I will keep working on this effort to try and make it even better than the last.
  • Project Reviews
    • It seems like there will be some changes to the review process based on community and Board feedback.
    • This is ok, I just need to re-evaluate what the core goals are, and develop an appropriate plan of action.
    • This project has many risks.
    • I will try my best.
  • Guidebooks Update
    • I am happy to report that the Testing Guide is at the technical editing and design stage.
    • I am in the process of taking on a technical editor to move the project along.
    • Hugo, our new graphic designer, will be getting the design brief for the book next week.
    • The Code Review Guide might be at this stage as well.
    • I will learn more when I meet Larry this Saturday.
    • The Development Guide needs to most help at this point so I will be reaching out to the DHS to see if they can offer some support.
  • Daily Project based queries and requests
    • This has not changed much since I began the post: questions are very similar in nature.
    • Global AppSec questions.
    • Funding queries.
    • Travel availability.
    • Project based administrative help.
    • Project status information.
    • Several project donation questions.
    • Marketing questions.
    • Grant funding questions.
    • OWASP social media updates.
    • What's happening with projects, questions.
    • Managing Salesforce cases.
