Currently Working On

  • Project Inventory 2014:
    • Still working on the Project Inventory. This week I sent our reminder emails to Project Leaders who have not listed a link to their repositories or the date of their latest release reminding them to update me with that information. We are giving Project Leaders until May 9th to respond with the information or we are inactivating the project.
    • Along with adding the latest release dates and repository urls, today I updated the list with the names of project contributors.
    • So far, I have actually been getting prompt responses from Project Leaders, however, there are a few who have yet to respond.
      • Even if the project is inactive, please still respond to the emails I have sent, so I can take care of inactivating the project for you.
      • I have been compiling a list of projects that Project Leaders have asked me to inactivate. I will take care of marking the wiki page with the inactive banner and moving it from the active project list to the inactive list.
  • Project Summit 2014:
    • This week we got another project added to the list of participants for the Project Summit! I have updated the Project Summit pages accordingly, and the session now has it's own page where people can sign up to attend.
    • Of course, more projects are encouraged to participate!
  • Women in AppSec Social Media:
    • The Women in AppSec Program for AppSec EU now has the funding it needs to send a winner to the conference.
    • For this week and until the deadline in May, I will be Tweeting and posting messages to Facebook for the call for submission to the program. We have had a lot of success with the program in the past, and I know the program's European debut will be a big hit.

Lessons Learned

  • The fear of project inactivation has been a major motivator for Project Leaders to update their information. Keep it coming!
  • TweetDeck is no longer being reliable for scheduling tweets. I think I will look into HootSuite instead, and hopefully have more success.
  • Work with the project inventory is getting me strongly aquatinted with OWASP projects and project leaders.

Additional Comments

  • What happened to April?
