Job Description

The Boeing Company is seeking a Computing Security & Information Protection Specialist. Come join Boeing's highly regarded enterprise application security assessment team. As a senior team member you will conduct and lead application security assessments across all business segments and computing platforms. You will also be assisting in the strategic security vision for the enterprise, participating in cross-department reviews and supporting internal and external security initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth experience performing complex application security assessments using both automated and manual testing techniques. Experience assessing Web 2.0 technologies, conducting code reviews and an ability to learn new technologies is required.

This position also involves interaction with a variety of other departments and business functions, so strong verbal and written communication skills are a must. Being able to assess security threats and vulnerabilities and communicate those to a wide audience is critical. The ability to condense and communicate complex technical issues to executive management is highly desired. As a senior team member you will be expected to mentor and coach less experienced staff. The ideal candidate must also contribute to advancing the team though process improvements, identification of emerging security tools and recommending innovative solutions.

Other Qualifications: appropriate certifications, tool skills, including web tools (proxying tools, scanners, and fuzzers), and technology skills, ranging from web servers and services to transaction protocols. Competency in scripting or programming skills in languages relating to application and system penetration testing: JavaScript, PERL, Python, C, C#, .NET and/or Java programming knowledge is desired.

Qualifications:

• Level 4

o Technical bachelor's degree and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or a Master's degree with typically 7 or more years' or a PhD degree with typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

o A technical degree is defined as any four year degree, or greater, in a mathematic, scientific or information technology field of study.

• Level 5

o Technical bachelor's degree and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or a Master's degree with typically 12 or more years' or a PhD degree with typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

o A technical degree is defined as any four year degree, or greater, in a mathematic, scientific or information technology field of study.
