Web applications depend heavily on the underlying host/operating system to perform properly, and may even share certain critical functionalities. Therefore it is extremely important that the underlying host is secured.
- Harden the underlying host operating system and other software as per standard hardening procedures (for example NIST/CERT/SANS/CI Security etc).
