Driven by a desire to understand computer-networking on an holistic level; working backwards from networking support towards computer science, layer-7, scripting|programming and the ethical and legal quandaries involved in protecting our (society's as a whole) vast information/data-exchange infrastructure: which itself has developed & expanded rapidly and sporadically - with what, thus far, may be considered a very Reactionary approach to mitigating discoveries in its faulty underpinnings.
I've read from multiple wizard-hat authors who keep claiming that 'something's gotta give and the whole damn thing needs to be redesigned from the ground-up'. This intrigues me, and I have an urge to hurry and learn what I've missed these many years supporting networked environments: the underlying methods, science and innermost workings of computer systems. I have a long way to go, and exponentially less time on my hands than I did 10/20 years ago.
I am a father of a 2-yr old boy and daughter of 8. They consume whatever resources I am unable to dedicate the above task(s).
