Luis is an information security professional with solid expertise in technical assessments. He possesses a strong background in web application security. Penetration tests, vulnerability research, Web exploit development are other of his favored hobbies.
He has worked at one information security consulting company as penetration tester for over 2 years, and been interested in offensive security since the age of 16. Luis is currently working as Information Security Consultant at VerSprite, where he works next to a very talented team.
He has spent the majority of his life with a computer, and maintains an eclectic skill set in many different facets of information technology. Web application assessments are his specialty, nonetheless he also enjoys a lot doing pen-tests on red teams. Security research on Web application's frameworks is also among his knowledge and experience.
Luis graduated like System Engineer in UAM University, Costa Rica. He performed CCNA fundamentals certificate which provides excellent knowledge on Networks. Then he performed Certificate Ethical Hacker. It is one the best information Security certifications and participated like Item Security Writer making items for the Eccouncil's company.
Today he counts with mentions by companies such as Ribose, Appcelerator, Zendesk, Meldium, Bitcasa and Bufferapp thanks to his continuous participation in their "Bug Bounty" program and constant curiosity.
He is currently focused on researching vulnerabilities in third party web frameworks and components, learn new penetration testing techniques. He performed a Security talk: xpath awakens, attack and impacts about blind xpath injection in OWASP Denver, San Antonio, Atlanta and Ottawa.
Luis spends his free time competing in CTFs, reviewing new exploits, learning new techniques and drinking tons of soda.
