I am a network specialist for a higher education institution for the past 8 years. I've been working in the IT field for over 11 years as well. I'm looking to join owasp.org in order to broaden my security skills in the hopes of making myself more marketable for job relocation as well as possibly enrolling in a course and perusing a certification.
