Call For Talks
- Do you have an interesting topic about which you would like to give a talk to the OWASP Belgium community?
- We'd like to help you make that happen!
Benefits For You
- Increase the popularity of your project / discovery / idea etc.
- Get feedback from the audience, so you can improve your project / discovery / idea etc.
- Raise your profile in the community.
- Add to the "Talks" section of your CV.
- Practice your public speaking.
- A good feeling from giving back to the community.
Procedure
- You get in touch with us (the OWASP Belgium Chapter board), proposing the topic (at least title and an abstract/summary):
- Talk to one of us at a Chapter Meeting or at another conference.
- Send an email to T.B.D..
- We validate your proposal and respond whether we want to pursue your idea.
- You send us the presentation material (slide deck, video clips etc.).
- We send you feedback if necessary.
- We all find a chapter meeting which would work for everybody.
- You send us more context information for publication on the wiki page of the chapter meeting:
- Your bio;
- Possibly your affiliation if you present on behalf of an organisation;
- If you so desire, contact information for you and for your organisation (social media handles, web page etc.).
- We publish information about the chapter meeting, including the information you've sent us, and we advertise it.
- You come to the agreed chapter meeting and give your presentation.
Talk Format
- The talk should take 50 minutes, of which you should allow at least 10 minutes for questions.
- The content of the talk must not be of a commercial nature.
Logistics
You will bring the computer from which you will present, especially if there is a demo part. We will provide a backup computer, projector, wireless presenter / laser pointer etc.
