Introduction
Welcome to the OWASP Day III Italy Conference for 2009. Following on from the great success of OWASP Day II in 2008 the third conference will take place in February 2009.
- The conference represents a day of Web App Sec debate for all the OWASP chapters in the world
- Thanks to the collaboration with the University of Bari, we are organizing the Conference: "Web Application Security: from the research to the real world".
- OWASP Day III will be an all day Conference.
Conference topics:
- New OWASP Projects
- New Application Security Researchs
- The evolution of attacks and countermeasures for the security in the Web Application.
- Case studies of how the Companies have adopted the OWASP Guidelines in their SDLC.
Organization and goals:
- Conference goal is creating a debate on which will be the evolution of the Web Application Security. The event wants to create a discuss about Application Security from a higher level to a technical point of view.
- The conferce will hold 8-9 speaches that will be selected by the OWASP-Italy Board after the cfp phase.
- As conclusion of the day, we will organize a round table with international guests discussing the more interesting subjects come out during the event.
- The event will be free, the sponsors will pay for the speakers expenses and catering.
Call For Paper:
The call for paper will begin next November 2008 and will be closed by January 2009.

The sponsorship include the following:
- The pubblication of the sponsor logo in the agenda, on the web site, on the flyers and in all the official communications with the attendees at the conference.
- The possibility to distribute the Company brochures, CDs or other materials to the participants during the event.
Last OWASP-Day we received 250 suscriptions: the attendees come from Telecommunication, Finance, Banking, Assurance, Government Companies.
