Welcome to the OWASP Suncoast Local Chapter

The OWASP Suncoast Chapter was founded in March 2008 by Steve Carter and Mike Nixon. Chapter meetings are held several times a year, typically once per quarter on the first Tuesday of the month.

Participation

OWASP Local Chapter meetings are free and open. Our chapter's meetings are informal and encourage open discussion of all aspects of application security. Anyone in our area interested in web application security is welcome to attend. We encourage attendees to give short presentations about specific topics. If you would like to make a presentation, or have any questions about the Suncoast Chapter, send an email to one of the chapter leaders.

We are looking for support including speakers and sponsors. We are also still trying to identify a larger conference room in the area to host future events. Please contact Mike Nixon or Stephen Carter if you are able to help in any way. Speakers from commercial companies are welcome although it is against Chapter rules to promote commercial products.
