The OWASP Foundation is a recognized 501c3 not-for-profit charitable organization incorporated in the United States that ensures the ongoing availability and support for our work.

OWASP was incorporated in 2004 and received its formal recognition of its 501c3 status on SOMEDATE.

Tax Deductability of Payments to OWASP

OWASP membership fees, OWASP conferences fees, OWASP conference sponsorships, and OWASP banner ads are not considered tax deductible donations due to the benefits the paying organization receives.

Direct donations to OWASP are fully tax deductible given OWASP's recognized U.S. not-for-profit status.
