Next Meeting: February 27, 2008 at 7:00PM

Greetings OWASP Members, SecureState, in conjunction with Applicure, will be holding an OWASP meeting at the Winking Lizard off of Miles Rd. between 480 and 271 off of the Miles Rd. exit on 422.

SecureState will be holding bi-monthly meetings covering two of the OWASP TopTen areas each meeting.

February 27, 2008, SecureState will be holding an OWASP meeting covering Cross-Site scripting and SQL Injection attacks. We will be discussing proof of concepts, worst case scenarios, high level discussions, developer discussions, and secure coding practices to thwart these attacks. Join us for FREE beer and food at the Winking Lizard on Miles Rd. next to the Coca-Cola plant at 7:00PM.

Some of the hot topics will be third party applications, and why not to trust them. A case study where we identified SQL Injection vulnerabilities in some of the largest web based applications and discuss our proof of concept exploits and the great story behind them! Some other topics will be rooting SQL Servers through SQL Injection, why NOT to run your SQL Servers off of "SA", Advanced Phishing techniques and identity theft, as well as mitigating controls for these heinous attacks!

We are currently at 24 people attending and will be handing out free OWASP shirts to the first 15 that registered.

The front: OWASP Cleveland Chapter (with the nifty logo on top left chest) The back: I've pwned more Fortune 500 companies than Bill Gates

If you are interested in attending, please send an email with the subject "I'm there" and the body "I'll be there!" to [email protected].

This is an informal meeting, more discussion then anything, if you want to discuss anything else let us know, we're just there for the beer...

We look forward to seeing everyone. Go Tribe!
