Long-time Java/JEE developer and architect, having shifted focus from application development to application security in recent years. Areas of interest include OWASP Top 10, ESAPI, ZAP, code reviews.

Previous work, before shifting to Java/JEE development, focused on discrete-event simulation. Worked in defense and aviation simulation, and wrote D.Sc. dissertation on algorithms and data structures for managing the current- and future-events sets in Java-based simulations.

Currently live and work in Kansas City, Missouri.

Certifications: CEH, GSEC, GSSP-Java, SCJP, SCWCD, SCEA, ITIL Foundation, DevOps Foundation, AWS-ASA
