Welcome to the Kenya chapter homepage. The chapter leader is Munir Njiru and Alex Mathenge aided by Ruth Macharia


Participation

OWASP Foundation (Overview Slides) is a professional association of global members and is open to anyone interested in learning more about software security. Local chapters are run independently and guided by the Chapter_Leader_Handbook. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit professional association your support and sponsorship of any meeting venue and/or refreshments is tax-deductible. Financial contributions should only be made online using the authorized online chapter donation button. To be a SPEAKER at ANY OWASP Chapter in the world simply review the speaker agreement and then contact the local chapter leader with details of what OWASP PROJECT, independent research or related software security topic you would like to present on.

28th- 29th July 2016 - 3rd Annual Africahackon conference. You can download the conference program here[1]

1st- 2nd April 2016 - OWASP Kenyan Chapter and Africahackon will be holding a bootcamp at Multimedia University of Kenya in line with the plan to get information security to the young at heart so that we have more professionals in industry.

2015 is a busy year in the information security field : In addition to the Africahackon Conference, the first Kenyan Project currently at OWASP is out titled OWASP Mth3l3m3nt Framework. It aims to make web penetration testing easier and use of less resources that are readily available platforms. overed

Africahackon and OWASP Kenyan Chapter are holding a bootcamp at Multimedia University of Kenya (MMU) this year on 1st & 2nd of April. This marks the first Bootcamp at the University in the series of bootcamps across local universities. It will aim to raise more security aware individuals as they join the fields in development, forensics, offensive security etc. The key topics to be covered are:
