ORG Announcement
Subject: Announcing the release of OWASP Report Generator!
Body:
We are proud to release OWASP Report Generator (ORG). ORG is a project that aims at fulfilling the role of reporting related to security assessments.
It has the ability to do the following tasks:
- Maintain a list of current, archived and future projects
- Handle tasks for multiple targets per project
- Keep track of all the findings for each project
- Generate reports in multiple formats (PDF and HTML)
- Issue tracking for projects
ORG still has a long way to go some of the features we are looking to implement shortly are:
- Verify all current data against a schema and ensure that consistency is maintained (especially with IP Address / DNS Name fields)
- Manage exceptions relating to creating a duplicate finding name more effectively
- Add a find function to the source code editor
- Add default values to all fields where applicable
- Add a drop down menu to the findings screen to allow for the selection of a recommendation from the recommendations database
- Create a Microsoft Word version of the report
- Paste tables into Appendix
- Paste images into Appendix
- Add Spellchecking capabilities (using Authentic's component support for it)
