Welcome to the Community of Portuguese Language Countries (CPLP, in Portuguese) OWASP Application Security Conference! After successful OWASP Conferences in the United States and Europe, we are back in Brazil on September 24-25 2009!
About the CPLP
From Wikipedia: The Community of Portuguese Language Countries (Portuguese: Comunidade dos Países de Língua Portuguesa, pron. IPA: [kumuni'dad(ɨ) duʃ pɐ'izɨʒ dɨ 'lĩgwɐ puɾtu'gezɐ] (EP), IPA: [komuni'dadʒi dus pa'iziz dʒi 'lĩgwa poɾtu'gezɐ] (BP); abbreviated to CPLP) is the intergovernmental organization for friendship among lusophone (Portuguese-speaking) nations where Portuguese is an official language. The Portuguese-speaking countries are home to more than 223 million people located across the globe. The CPLP nations have a combined area of about 10,772,000 square kilometres (4,159,000 sq mi).
Why CPLP?
We understand that an event in Brazil will fit well to invite members from all the OWASP Chapters within Latin America, where the main language is Spanish with French, English and even Dutch, German and Russian in some regions. However, we want to make an event were our colleagues from Portugal and all African Nations were Portuguese is the main language can share and learn about Application Security.
September 24–25 2009, OWASP will hold the first CPLP Application Security conference in a wonderful city in Brazil. The Conference consists of two days of training sessions on September 22–23, followed by a two-day conference with 2 different tracks.

The agenda follows the successful OWASP conference two tracks format, with opening keynotes and presentations in the main auditorium, split tracks in the middle of the day, and closing pannel discussions back in the main auditorium both days.
