Next Meeting

Wednesday, June 15, 2016 - 6:00pm - 8:00pm.

It has been a while since the OWASP Sacramento chapter has a held a meeting. However, we are working on breathing new life back into the chapter. As such, the OWASP Sacramento relaunch meeting will be held on June 15th, 2016 between 6pm - 8pm, Pizza and water will be provided. This will be a joint meeting with ISSA Sacramento. The meeting will be held at:

Rancho Cordova Library 9845 Folsom Blvd Sacramento, CA 95827

The speaker is me, your chapter leader Michael Weber. The topic for this meeting will be Introduction to Application Security and will cover the following areas:

1. What is Application Security?

2. The Application Security Problem

3. Application Security Activities

4. Resources for Getting Started (OWASP)

I also created a meetup group where you can register for the event (http://www.meetup.com/OWASP-Sacramento/events/231056216/). Right now we have been looking for a location in Rancho Cordova or Roseville areas. Hopefully we still have some people out there interested in application security. More to come once we have the location nailed down.

Future meetings

We always want ideas! Send your request for a meeting topic to a chapter leader or the chapter mailing list.
