We are still seeking one or two more board members and to get the local community involved by publicizing the chapter. We are currently planning activities for early 2009; at least one chapter meeting per quarter - more if interest warrants.

'''Topic Summary:''' In the last Columbus OWASP meeting, we demonstrated how to secure the code inside a web service. In our May 2009 meeting, we will discuss a governance process for determining appropriate controls for securing a web service deployment. While technical, this meeting is a "process chat" that does not directly involve application code. Instead, we will look at a risk "heat map" for service-oriented architecture and a "decision matrix" for determining which logical controls are required for an SOA deployment. The decision matrix considers various information security attributes from the risk heat map, for a particular SOA interaction.
