Welcome to the Madison, Wisconsin chapter homepage. The chapter leader is Lance Rudolph.
Participation
OWASP Foundation (Overview Slides) is a professional association of global members and is open to anyone interested in learning more about software security. Local chapters are run independently and guided by the Chapter_Leader_Handbook. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit professional association your support and sponsorship of any meeting venue and/or refreshments is tax-deductible. Local News
We have a new meeting location and date. The Brass Ring at 701 E Washington Ave Madison WI. We will meet the first Tuesday of each month at 3:00pm to 5:00pm. We always look forward to seeing new faces so if you have even a slight interest, please stop by. We always have time in our meetings for open discussion so if you want to bounce ideas off of other people stop in and chat.

November 2017 Meeting
Sprecher's Restaurant and Pub, 1262 John Q Hammons Dr, Madison WI 53717 November 29 from 3:00PM to 5:00PM Back by popular demand, we will work through the lessons in security Shepherd. This was a fun way to work together to learn different ways to use ZAP, and to learn about different vulnerabilities. If you are a beginner, come and learn in a fun friendly atmosphere. If you are highly experienced, come and learn other ways to test things, or share what you know. We will also have an update on our project to build a chrome version of the Selenium IDE. Come for the cheese curds, stay for the hacking.
October 2017 Meeting
Sprecher's Restaurant and Pub, 1262 John Q Hammons Dr, Madison WI 53717 October 25 from 3:00pm to 5:00pm We will go over the OWASP Security Shepherd project, and in doing so will do some hacking. I will have a couple of PC for people to follow along if they wish, and feel free to bring your own laptop. Second on the Agenda will be working on the Selenium IDE for Chrome. Snacks will be provided.

We will have a demonstration of the SWAMP static code review program.
Our first meeting in a long time will be held at: Sprecher's Restaurant and Pub, 1262 John Q Hammons Dr, Madison, WI 53717 on April 26 from 3:00pm to 5:00pm This will be the first meeting of the chapter in a while, so we will have a hands on introduction to ZAP, bring a laptop that can run a VM if you want to follow along, and we will determine what topics we will want in the upcoming meetings.
