Nowadays I'm an Cyber Intelligence Consultant, my first steps in infosec were in France, studying a Licence Professionelle called Collaborateur en Defense et Anti Intrusions des Systemes Informatiques, just a more formal way to call an Ethical Hacker. What I like the most in the infosec field is web app security, but I'm interested in all areas, like reverse engineering, social engineering, incident response, digital forensics, etc.
