Francis was born and raised in a small town in the middle of nowhere without running water, where to this day the telephone lines only support 28.8k dial-up internet (and cable/satellite is right out!).

His interest in computer security revolves around taking real-world things, trying to mathematically model them, and then beating the specifications into a delicious pulp.

Currently he works for a software-company-who-must-not-be-named where he swims upstream to try to get people to adopt reasonable security standards, in a legacy enterprise setting.
