I am a former *nix systems administrator who took ten years off to spend some time in the U.S. Army as an infantryman. After three combat tours to Iraq and Afghanistan, I separated from the service in 2013. I then took two years to do nothing much at all. I have only recently decided to pick up my old career, focusing my education on systems security and vulnerability assessment.
