Young Scott: I have had computer security as a hobby since junior high, finding ways to play games in computer class, CTF with friends, war-dialing, and trying to exploit MUD’s for gaining ‘wizard’ characters. I was fascinated by the world of ‘2600’ and liked skateboarding.

Now Scott: I have a long history of embedded software as well as web application development. I have in recent years, refound my passion for security in the context of being a white hat and applying it to enterprise protecting Webtrends’ applications and customer data.

I lead a fantastic Engineering Security Team comprised of all part time security members, who represent applications, data services, data pipeline, QA, SaaS ops and project management.

I enjoy exploit demonstration, threat modeling, educating others, and finding ways to make software, systems and teams more secure.
