PROJECT IDENTIFICATION
Project Name OWASP Google Hacking Project
Short Project Description I demonstrated several projects based on the Google SOAP Search API with Perl at the recent OWASP Conference in Australia and following discussions with other members I would like to propose them for consideration as a formal project for OWASP. Specifically, they "mine" the following from the Google Search Results:
  • 1. E-mail Addresses
  • 2. TCP Ports
  • 3. Hostnames
  • 4. To/From Relationships of a Link with other related Links.

I intend to promote this project in the updated "Search Engine Reconnaissance" section of the OWASP Testing Guide v3 which I am currently writing and at the following events:

  • OWASP Conference in New York in September,
  • Sector 2008 in Toronto Canada in October.
