In 2012, OWASP is holding the Asia Pacific Security Conference in Sydney Australia! OWASP Asia Pacific is the foremost Application Security conference for the region, and brings together the community in a central meeting for 4 days to discuss and present on recent and current Application Security related topics. In previous years the conference has been held on the Gold Coast Australia, in 2012 the event has been moved to Sydney, and will be held at the Four Points Sheraton Darling Harbour from the 11th to the 14th of April 2012!

CALL FOR PAPERS - OWASP ASIA PACIFIC 2012 - SYDNEY AUSTRALIA
The call's out, we're holding our annual conference in Sydney Australia on the 11th to 14th of April 2012. The event will be held at the Four Points Sheraton Darling Harbour (right on the Sydney Harbour!). We've allocated 2 days worth of training and 2 days of conference presentations, with 3 tracks across the days.
OWASP Australia in previous years have been a very successful event, and it's time to submit a presentation on a topic or project your passionate about. Our conference committee is looking for both training provider's for 2 day and 1 day courses, as well as presentations..
The following topics are some of the idea's for submission:
- OWASP Projects
- Research in Application Security Defense (Defense & Countermeasures)
- Research in Application Security Offense (Vulnerabilities & Exploits)
- Web Application Security
- Critical Infrastructure Security
- Mobile Security
- Government Initiatives & Government Case Studies
- Effective Case studies in Policy, Governance, Architecture or Life Cycle
- and other application security topics
Call for papers is now out! You can send initially your response to [email protected], which in turn will be forwarded around the committee!
CLOSING DATE: We require an initial response for the presentations by the 14th February 2012 (requires only a 1 page BIO on the presentation)
BENEFITS: OWASP is always there to support our presenters and trainers. There are funds available, as well as invitiations to the conference for those that speak, and provide training. Contact us if you wish to understand more.
