December 3, 2009 - Call - present, Mark, John, Wayne, Kate

Welcome new commitee members: John Wilander, Sweden; and Lucas Ferreira, Brazil

Deadline for AppSec US conference proposal is 12/31/2009

China Event: Wayne is working with several folks in the China region to finalize the plans for the event. Committee needs Budget and details of event planning by 12/31/09. Proposed date for the event is in April.

Mark Bristow will create and attach narrative explination of the budget tool. He is also working on Budget tool 2.0 based on experiences from AppSec DC.

Trainer split needs to be adjusted to a 40/60 split. However, these numbers may be adjusted if the organization moves forward with a "training road show" program. In this case, the split will adjust based on the level of assistance the foundation would provide to the trainiers. This program needs to be developed.

2010 Conferences will be posted by quarter until definate dates for the events become available. Goal is to identify recourring regional events and 4 global events (U.S. - North America, South America, Europe, and Asia/Pacific) annually.

Still waiting on proposal from CA for AppSec US

Training road show - goal of this program would be to facilitate 2 day training programs in major cities around the globe. These training would be IN ADDITION to the training offered with conferences. Purpose would be to become "body of knowledge" in the AppSec community without endorcing a certification program. Kate to coordinate a GCC meeting with the GEC to discuss the program. Items to be reviewed would include: trainer database? trainer scores? revenue and expense split? frequency? locations? outreach?

Clarification on OOTM funds: OOTM is NOT to be used for events that are charging and admission. If the conference decides to fly in speakers and provide assistance for their travel and/or accomodations, then this would come from the conference budget

Meeting schedule will be every other Thursday at 12Noon EST. Next meeting will be Thursday, December 17, 12 noon EST Agenda for 12/17/09 Call
