Ivan Ristic is an open source advocate, entrepreneur, writer, programmer and application security researcher. He is the principal author of ModSecurity (http://www.modsecurity.org), the open source intrusion detection and prevention engine for web applications, considered by many to be the most widely deployed web application firewall. Through ModSecurity and by leading the Web Application Firewall Evaluation Criteria project, Ivan works to make the web application firewall technology available to everyone, honestly discussing its advantages and disadvantages at the same time. His book, Apache Security (http://www.apachesecurity.net), is a concise yet comprehensive web security guide for the Apache web server. Ivan is an active participant in the web application security community, officer the Web Application Security Consortium and the leader of the OWASP London Chapter. Ivan's blog is at http://blog.ivanristic.com.
