Parking: In front of and behind building.

General Session Topic: Service-Oriented Architecture

Speakers: Greg Green, CISSP, Enterprise Security Architecture, Nationwide Insurance

Topic Summary: In the last Columbus OWASP meeting, we demonstrated how to secure the code inside a web service. In our May 2009 meeting, we will discuss a governance process for determining appropriate controls for securing a web service deployment. While technical, this meeting is a "process chat" that does not directly involve application code. Instead, we will look at a risk "heat map" for service-oriented architecture and a "decision matrix" for determining which logical controls are required for an SOA deployment. The decision matrix considers various information security attributes from the risk heat map, for a particular SOA interaction.

RSVP: Please RSVP to [email protected] as soon as possible. We will provide additional meeting information in the coming weeks!
