The topic of this meeting will be "How to Test the Security of Web Applications."  This meeting will be hosted at EDS Medi-Cal in Rancho Cordova, CA. TOPIC: How to Test the Security of Web Applications
 
  
This session aims to help you organize and execute security testing for web applications in a consistent manner. We will review the OWASP Testing Framework and the OWASP Testing Guide and discuss how you can use them to increase assurance that your web applications are secure from known threats.  Tools and techniques will be demonstrated as they relate to the testing methodology. Please bring questions - the goal is to make this something practical rather than just a "nice presentation."  The types of tests that will be covered are:

Roman Hustad is an experienced security tester and Principal Consultant at Foundstone, a division of McAfee. He has an extensive background in Sacramento-area enterprise web development and is a regular presenter at security and programming-related events. Welcome to the Sacramento chapter homepage. We are a bunch of Application Security professionals and amateurs dedicated to learning, teaching, and sharing our experience in the Security Community. All meetings are free, oriented towards knowledge sharing and practical learning, and of course, having lots of fun!
