He has been developing web applications since 1996 and has been an active application security advocate since the first version of PCI DSS standard in 2006.

Sam joined OWASP as a member in 2010 and in November 2015 became the OWASP London Chapter Leader.

Sam's day job is working as a Senior Application Security Consultant in the City of London helping large financial services organisations defend their web applications.
