Welcome to the Washington VA chapter homepage. The chapter leader is Stan Wisseman


Participation

OWASP Foundation (Overview Slides) is a professional association of global members and is open to anyone interested in learning more about software security. Local chapters are run independently and guided by the Chapter_Leader_Handbook. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit professional association your support and sponsorship of any meeting venue and/or refreshments is tax-deductible. Financial contributions should only be made online using the authorized online chapter donation button. To be a SPEAKER at ANY OWASP Chapter in the world simply review the speaker agreement and then contact the local chapter leader with details of what OWASP PROJECT, independent research or related software security topic you would like to present on.

Local News

The August chapter meeting included two presentations from Jeff Williams. Jeff is the Chair of OWASP and the CEO of Aspect Security:

While Jeff lives up in Maryland, this is the first time he has had a chance to visit or speak at one of our chapter meetings. Please make an effort to attend. I ask for a small donation to cover some of the costs for the pizza/drinks, but all are welcome to join us.

Meeting Times and Location

We will be meeting on the 9th from 6-9pm at Booz Allen's McLean facility (We will be meeting on the 9th from 6-9pm at Booz Allen's McLean facility (8283 Greensboro Drive, McLean, VA 22102). We will meet in the Hamilton building, room 2011. Yes, this is a change from our normal meeting spot due to lack of available space at our Herndon building that evening.

You may park in any visitor or non-reserved parking spaces. Enter the building and check in with Booz Allen security at the Lobby Reception Desk.

Directions

From Dulles: Take the Dulles Access Road and exit to Route 7 East. After the first light on Route 7, begin merging left, and make a left turn onto Westpark Drive. Go up the hill one block to the next light and turn right on Greensboro. You can see the campus a block up on your right. To park, turn right on Solutions Drive just before the campus and then thrun left into the vistor lot.
