OWASP Foundation (Overview Slides) is a professional association of global members and is open to anyone interested in learning more about software security. Local chapters are run independently and guided by the Chapter_Leader_Handbook. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit professional association your support and sponsorship of any meeting venue and/or refreshments is tax-deductible. Local News

We will be meeting on the 14th from 6-9pm at Booz Allen's One Dulles facility.

I ask for a small donation to cover some of the costs for the pizza/drinks, but all are welcome to come.

While everyone thought Richard "Doc" Baum's kick-off session last month was worthwhile, Doc has decided to wait on doing another session. He is going to apply some of the lessons learned from last month. The agenda for the June meeting is:

1) "Comparison of Static Code Analyzers for Java Applications", Anand Jayaraman (Senior Software Architect, Airline Tariff Publishing Corporation) and Rick Duncan (GMU). This is the results of a project they did together at GMU.

2) "Interactive Discussion - Is Your Application Secure If It Has Undergone a C&A (Been Authorized to Operate)", John Klemens (Business Practice Director, Xacta).

3) “Enterprise Data Protection – the challenge of encrypting data within the Enterprise”, Steve Schmalz (Senior Systems Engineer, RSA Security)
