Noreen started with the OWASP Foundation in November 2014 as Community Manager. She has a strong background in nonprofit and open source community management and mentoring. Most recently she was with the Information Architecture Institute in New York as their Operations Manager working on strategy & events management, as well as open source technology projects. Earlier in her career she spent five years with PricewaterhouseCoopers as Operations Manager for their global website team. Prior to the merger, she spent seven years as a real estate research associate at Price Waterhouse specializing in real estat technology, geographic information systems and intranet development.

She serves in many advisory and working group roles including the Board of Directors of GISMO-the NYC regional chapter of the NY State GIS Association, the W3C Website Redesign Task Force,  the User Experience Committee of the ID EcoSystem Working Group, and the myMETRO Advisory Council of the Metropolitan New York Library Council. She hosts local events for the Information Architecture and Semiotics Web Meetup Groups. She recently earned a Master of Science in Library and Information Science and has an undergraduate degree from Columbia University.
